Uninsured Motorist Claims

Saturday, July 5, 2008

Unfortunately, some drivers of motor vehicles ignore the law and fail to purchase liability insurance coverage protecting others injured by their negligence, or let their insurance lapse. When such drivers cause an accident, they have no insurance to cover your losses. Typically, people with no insurance coverage also have little or no assets to personally pay for your losses. If, however, you have your own auto insurance and purchased uninsured motorist coverage, then you can make a claim against your own insurance carrier for your bodily injuries and damages. You should not be penalized for making such a claim by your own company either, for this is the reason you take out this coverage and pay premiums for it.

If you have suffered an injury due to someone else's negligence and find that they are uninsured, call our offices to inquire about pursuing an uninsured motorist claim. Uninsured motorist claims are handled by our firm on a contingency fee basis.

We also handle cases involving underinsured motorists.
